Customer report

The customer requested installation of a Myenergi Zappi GLO Black tethered EV charger with app control, tariff auto-charge capability, O-PEN protection and solar charging functionality. The installation scope included dedicated EV charging protection components, associated cabling and integration with the Myenergi mobile application. The customer was also preparing for a smart meter installation to support tariff configuration within the charging system.

Diagnosis & Technical Assessment

The installation scope included a 7 kW tethered EV charging system with integrated app control, dynamic load protection and solar charging compatibility. The selected Myenergi Zappi GLO charger included O-PEN protection and tariff charging functionality as part of the configured system setup.

The electrical installation included an EV consumer unit fitted with an A-Type DP B40 RCBO and SPD, together with associated meter tail components, terminal blocks, and 6 mm² 3 Core Tuf Sheathed cable. Following installation, the charger was configured using the installer application and linked to the customer’s Myenergi account.

A test charge was completed during commissioning to confirm EV charging operation. The installation was configured so the charging system would not drain the battery. The customer was shown the Myenergi application with the EV connected and operational. Smart tariff configuration remained pending until completion of the customer’s smart meter installation.

The completed works included installation of a Myenergi Zappi GLO 7 kW tethered EV charger together with a dedicated EV consumer unit and associated electrical protection components. Cabling, meter tail components, terminal blocks and charger connections were installed as part of the completed charging system setup.

The selected charging system provided dynamic load protection, app-based charging control, solar charging compatibility and tariff-based charging functionality. The installation also included O-PEN protection integrated within the charger system specification.

The charger was configured using the installer application and connected to the customer’s Myenergi account. A test charge was completed following commissioning to confirm the charging operation. The customer was shown how to access and use the Myenergi application while awaiting smart meter setup for tariff configuration.
